Bar Saint James’ Function Room
Looking to hire a private function room in Swansea? Then look no further.
Bar Saint James features a beautiful function room located in the upstairs of the venue which is perfect for hosting any event. Our professional staff are here to ensure that we are with you every step of the way for the important events in your life, from the happiest of times to the most sombre.
We can also make available parts of the downstairs venue for your exclusive use if you are hosting a smaller occasion. We charge an affordable flat rate fee rather than per person like most venues of our standard.
Please note that sadly the upstairs is not wheelchair accessible as there is no lift in the venue. However, the downstairs is fully accessible with appropriate toilet facilities available.
Birthday Party Venue
Celebrate in the most elegant of style with a private party. We can help suggest decorations and local food suppliers if needed and of course, there’s no one better to supply the drinks than us! Supply your own music and create an unforgettable night. Bar Saint James is always the place to be on any night out so is the perfect venue for a party!
Baby Shower Venue
There’s no better occasion than having a baby and it’s an occasion worth celebrating. Alcohol free mocktails, soft drinks or coffee for the mum-to-be at Swansea’s most comfortable venue. Go big or small and intimate, the choice is yours.
Hen Night Venue
It’s all about you! The dress, the shoes, the veil, the cake, the first dance…but first there’s the big night out with the girls! Wines, spirits, cocktails and more for you to enjoy, whether you to choose to bring willy straws to drink them through is up to you. We’ll never tell! We can help you with hen party ideas too. Our venue can host small and sophisticated or larger and louder.
Engagement Party Venue
What better way than to celebrate your announcement than a gathering of your friends? We can help with suggestions for your event; most want to celebrate a new rock with champagne but if you have something else in mind then we’re here to help.
Celebration of Life and Wake Venue
The passing of a family member or friend is the hardest thing any of us can experience, that’s why we’re here to make it easier for you. Bar Saint James is Uplands’ premier venue for wakes and celebrations of life because our staff are professional above and beyond all others. For wakes we regularly open on Mondays and Tuesdays so that the whole venue is exclusively available for your use but we always do our best to accommodate.
